The Sports Cardiology Society (SCS) Awards recognize individuals whose leadership, innovation, scholarship, and service have advanced the field of sports cardiology and improved the cardiovascular care of athletes. Through these awards, SCS honors both pioneering contributors and emerging achievements that continue to shape the future of the specialty. Lifetime Achievement Award The Society's highest honor, the Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizes individuals who have made enduring, foundational, and transformative contributions to sports cardiology over the course of their careers. Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellence across multiple areas, including leadership, clinical care, research, education, mentorship, and service to the field. Recipients are recognized as pioneers whose work has significantly influenced athlete cardiovascular care and helped define sports cardiology as a discipline.
Hall of Fame Awards Each year, the Sports Cardiology Society Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the field. Honorees may include sports cardiologists, other healthcare professionals, researchers, athlete advocates, and multidisciplinary contributors whose work has advanced sports cardiology through clinical excellence, research, innovation, education, mentorship, or advocacy. Up to three Hall of Fame inductees will be recognized annually. ![]() Publication of the Year Award The Publication of the Year Award honors the first author of an outstanding publication that significantly advances scientific knowledge, clinical practice, or innovation in sports cardiology. ![]() Foundational Contributors Award This posthumous recognition honors individuals whose contributions helped establish and advance the field of sports cardiology. These awards celebrate the lasting legacy of leaders whose work continues to impact the care of athletes today.

Recognition of Award Recipients
Award recipients will receive formal recognition at the Sports Cardiology Society Annual Meeting, recognition across Society communications, and inclusion on the SCS website. Lifetime Achievement recipients will also receive honorary lifetime membership and additional recognition through Society publications, interviews, and historical archives.
